[00:00:00] Who do you want to be? And what is stopping you? So, a massive part of changing your life comes from your identity. And a massive part of manifestation also comes from your identity. So, I went through a massive identity death last year, okay, this wasn't even that long ago. And I'm gonna share with you today the steps that I personally took myself through so that you can do the same if you're feeling lost right now, or if you're feeling fed up with the way things have been for you, because shifting your identity is embodiment work.

Okay, it is changing your state. It is changing a habit. So, to help me really drum this whole identity thing home to you today, I actually looked at the definitions of the word identity and I was like, Yes, this is amazing. This is just going to help you understand exactly what identity is. So, the definitions of the word identity.

The state of [00:01:00] remaining the same, the fact of being who or what a person or thing is, the fact of being or feeling that you are a particular type of person. So, three definitions. And what came up from those definitions was that identity is repetition. Identity is just the repetition of showing that you are a type of person.

Which means identity is an act. Identity is an act that you wear and that you play. You identify with an identity. So most people, I believe, think that identity is something that cannot be changed, or just a part of them that they were born with. I am who I am. But identity isn't that.

Identity is a habit. Identity is a practice. It's a repetition of something.

And guess what? You can change your act. [00:02:00] You can change your practice. You don't have to keep repeating your identity anymore. It is fully and completely changeable. And you know me, I am deep. So I went deeper into the origins of the word identity. . Because I fucking love this shit.

So, identity comes from a Latin word that means repeatedly, again and again. Boom, boom, boom. Boom, boom, boom. Identity comes from the Latin word of repeating again and again and again and again. You can change this. It's just a pattern. It's just a way of you repeating something you believe you are, but the key is something you believe you are.

Something you believe yourself to be. And if we can change this, which we absolutely can, you can change this, you can change your entire life. And as you know from one of my [00:03:00] earlier episodes, identity can come from childhood, your identity very likely comes from... Things that got you love,

acts and ways of being that got you love when you were younger or got you a response that you wanted, got you attention. It's probably what got you friendships. All of this stuff you're learning, it probably got you recognition, pride. In Rapid Resolution Therapy, we talk about credit, blame, pride, shame.

So with identity, whatever got us when we were younger, credit. and pride we probably did more of and whatever got us blame and shame we probably did less of. That shapes our behavior. Our behavior shapes our identity and these behaviors create habits and identity is just a habit. It's a repetition of a cycle And identity is like a t shirt.

You can wear a t shirt, even though you hate it. You can wear it every fucking day and think, I hate this fucking t shirt. [00:04:00] Or you can take it off and put another one on that you do like. And you have multiple identities, right? You believe you have one identity, you believe you have one way of being, and you don't particularly like it.

Well actually you don't have one way of being, you have lots of ways of being, you have lots of different identities, you're changing your identity all day long, Depending on what situation you're in, depending on where you are, who you're speaking to, where you're going.

Because the person you are when you're at home and nobody is around is very different to the person you are when you're at a restaurant. I know that. I ain't gonna see you in a restaurant eating your dinner the way you would eat your dinner in your pants when no one's at home. Spilling spaghetti bolognese without you.

No, you're gonna be different. The person you are at work is very different to the person you are at home. The person you are on the phone is very different. We all have a telephone voice. Your identity is flexible, it's changeable, it's a [00:05:00] pattern that you have adopted.

Depending on the situation you're in, and you have full control over it. It's just, it's unconscious. Just like I talk about on every damn episode of this podcast, it's unconscious. It's coming from your unconscious mind.

And if you didn't have control over your identity, if your identity wasn't changeable, you would just be the same person all day long, all night long, until you die. You would just be the same person, you'd never change. You're not. You know you're not. You're not the same person as you are right now than you were 10 years ago.

You're not the same person.

Even though identity is something that you might believe is something that you are. I am x, y, and z. Fill in the blank. And this even goes as far as depression, anxiety, other mental health diagnosis, ADHD.

 I am an anxious person. No, you're not. No, you're not. I am a person with [00:06:00] naturally dark, blonde, wavy hair. I am a person who is five foot three. I am a person who is alive and breathing. I am a person with size five feet. These are all facts about me physically, who I am physically to look at. Hard to change.

It's going to be hard to change my foot size, it's going to be hard to change my height. It's going to be hard to change my hair colour that I was born with, I can dye it, but I can't change the hair and hair colour I was born with. These are all facts about who I am physically.

Not I'm a fat person, I'm a thin person, I'm a muscly person, not that. But I am a person with black wavy hair. Or what about this? I am a jealous person. Not a fact. So let's flip it. I'm an anxious person. Not a fact. I'm a lazy person. Not a fact. I'm an introvert. Not a fact. These are not facts [00:07:00] about who you are. These are identities. And they can be changed. And these identities are responses of your unconscious mind. Even anxiety, even depression, even being an introvert. Something like ADHD, yes, it can be diagnosed.

Yes, of course, but how are you responding to that information? Are you wearing it like an identity? It is not who you are. Because who you are is a soul, a light beam, an energetic being. You're not even you as you look like now. One of my favourite things that Dr. John Connolly says is, I have a foot, but I am not a foot.

Okay, you are not who you are even in your physical body. You have facts about your physical body. You have facts about the physical way you look that can't be changed. But they're not who you are, and your identity is not who you are.

 So how do you act? How do you respond to [00:08:00] information? How do you react to information? That's your mind's expression of how it's responding to data. Data is everything around you, every event, every thought, every feeling, everything that you are doing on a day to day basis.

It's all data and you are expressing a response to that and identity is part of that. And again, I remember Dr. John Connolly saying that doctors are the most powerful hypnotists because whatever they say becomes belief. You're an obese person. You believe it if a doctor's saying it to you, you have six months to live, you have ADHD, you have depression.

And I'm not saying don't go to the doctor, I'm just saying that someone can say these things to you and it becomes a belief to you and then it becomes an identity to you.

So, how are you responding to information? You have the freedom of choice, which means you get to choose how you respond to things. [00:09:00] How are you responding to what you believe to be true? How are you letting that information shape you? How are you acting because of that information?

So a great example is when I went through my identity shift last year, I had a lot of things, I had a lot of personal belongings that made me feel like the old version of me. This old version, this old identity that I was changing and morphing out of, okay. I had furniture, clothes, even like makeup and things like that.

I would walk into my bedroom. And I was trying to change my identity, I was in this process of going through this identity death, and I was seeing all this old furniture from a person who I used to be. And at that time my mind was just seeing this old version of me who I was trying to leave behind and it was really struggling to leave that version of me behind when I was still surrounded by things.

So what did I do? I had to change what I could. . [00:10:00] So I sold my furniture. I sold some things in my house, when I was walking around my house, what could I actually sell here?

What can I get rid of? And what can I then exchange for something else that's gonna match a new identity for me?

And this isn't about swapping things for, like, designer shit, okay? This isn't, like, right, I need to become this person who is a millionaire, I need to step into the identity of someone who is making, like, 500k months in business, I need to have, like, a beautiful designer house, I need the best clothes, I need the best car

it's not about that. Do not allow anyone in this space to tell you that you need to dress For the type of job that you want to dress and then you get confused and think you have to start stretching yourself It's not that

It's about Okay, I want to be this next level version of me. This next level version of me looks like this, she dresses like this, her house is [00:11:00] made like this. What can I change to put myself more in alignment with that? Because you don't have to buy the best stuff in the world. You can take what you need to take.

You can sell it. You can make some money. And you can use that money to replace it with less. But stuff that is more in alignment it can still be bargains But it just has the look of what you want you can Buy secondhand clothes that still have the look of the identity that you want You know, you don't have to put fucking meaning on things.

It doesn't have to be well the version of me Uh, that I want to be would never buy secondhand clothes on Vinted. Like, you don't, like, you don't have to do that. You deal with what you can deal with now. Do what you need to do now.

Because I'm telling you, the version of me that I want to become, she flies around in a private jet with Louis Vuitton luggage. Doesn't mean to say I'm gonna start booking a [00:12:00] private jet to go on holiday and getting Louis Vuitton luggage just because I'm trying to step into that version of myself. No, not, it's not like that.

No. But am I gonna get rid of some shit that is holding some meaning from an old version of me? Yes, I am.

So what can you change? You might not be able to change your car, your flat, your house, your, uh, whatever it is, fill in the blank. You might not be able to change everything, but what can you change that's not going to put you in a worse situation than you are in now?

You can certainly change your thoughts. You can certainly change the way you react and respond to things. You can change your clothes. Your furniture and swap your furniture for something different. You can do that. What can you change right now? So I also want to tell you about the Pavlov dog theory, if you haven't already heard this. So Pavlov was a Russian psychologist who did a really famous experiment with dogs. So, he noticed [00:13:00] that when the dogs saw food, they would salivate, and when they tasted food, they would salivate. So he noticed that pattern. Then Pavlov thought, right, I'm going to start ringing a bell when I give the dogs food. So then he gave the dogs food, the dogs would salivate because he was showing them food, he was giving them food, and he would ring a bell at the same time.

He would repeat this and repeat this. Until the dogs learned to associate the sound of a bell with food. Which then meant, eventually, Pavlov would ring a bell, there would be no food around and the dogs would start salivating. Even when there was no food around. All it took was him to ring a bell to make the dogs react in the same way they would react or tasted food.

So what the fuck does this mean? This means that behaviours can be conditioned. Your behaviours are conditioned. Your mind is [00:14:00] just responding to data all the time. Because this isn't just in dogs or other animals, this is in humans. Our minds are conditioned in the same way.

Our minds are conditioned through external stimuli, external data.

This is sending signals to our mind, it's conditioning our mind. So you might not be able to change your physical things right now, you might not be able to change your living situation right now physically, but you have the freedom of choice. Therefore you can at least change your thoughts.

So when you wake up in the morning, instead of looking at everything you hate, start thinking about everything that you are going to create. And if you need to replace some things, replace it. Start afresh. Start building out this new identity for yourself.

Because your mind is literally repeating and creating your reality all the time. And your mind will keep repeating and keep [00:15:00] creating your reality and the reality it has been conditioned to create by the thoughts that you are repeatedly thinking. And these thoughts and your reality are just cementing your identity even more.

Because the thoughts that you are repeatedly thinking are causing a repetition of feelings, and we know that feelings are the key. Feelings are the key to changing an environment.

So if you are repeating the same thoughts every day and and then repeating the same feelings that come with those thoughts, you're going to keep repeating the same reality that you don't like. And your reality is related to your identity. So then you're going to just keep repeating an identity that you don't like.

What can change? Your thoughts. Your thoughts can change and the feelings that your thoughts create can change. You have the power to do that. You have the control to do that. And it is thought that 90 percent of our thoughts today were the same as [00:16:00] yesterday. And that's why our identity is just repetition, again and again and again, because we are thinking the same thoughts, and these thoughts cause the same feelings, and then our actions are following that feeling, and then our identity becomes a combination of all this stuff, just repeating again and again and again and again, and we're stuck in this loop.

Law of attraction. The same attracts the same. The same thoughts attract the same thoughts. The same feeling attracts the same feeling. The same feeling attracts the same reality. The same reality attracts the same identity. Law of attraction. . So you can see that, you know, shifting your identity.

It's not just about thinking positive. It's not just about, okay, like, get rid of everything in your house and replace it. It's not just about that. Yeah, that really helped me. . But it's not just about that. It's about thinking about who you want to be. It's consciously co creating a new identity.

It's about thinking the thoughts that support you in becoming the person you want to become. It's [00:17:00] feeling it. It's embodying it. It's about forgetting what you see in your 3D, if you fucking hate where you live, if you hate your neighbourhood, if you hate, uh, your, your house, your belongings, you, you don't like any of it.

Okay, well, one, let's just first express gratitude that you even have all of that stuff. Because you would be feeling worse if you didn't, one. And two... Stop reacting in a way that is just fueling more of the thing. Don't get distracted by what you see in your 3D.

And then have your actions aligned with that. Know that you are co creating everything. All the live long fucking day. And if you keep identifying as a broke person, well I can't afford that, or I would love to have that but I could never afford that, or if you identify as an unlucky person when you say, oh bad things always happen to me, ugh it's just my luck that that happens, or you keep identifying as a person who had a bad childhood, oh [00:18:00] life was so hard for me.

Life was just terrible. You will always be that person. You will always be that person.

Because your beliefs are at the core of what you experience. Your beliefs shape your reality. So how are you viewing yourself? You know, not just your reality. How are you also viewing yourself and what thoughts are coming up for you every time you view yourself, every time you look in the mirror, every time you perceive yourself?

What do you believe about yourself? Do you believe yourself to be unhealthy, unlucky, unfit? If you want to manifest getting into the best health and the best shape of your life, well, it ain't gonna happen with that attitude. It's not gonna happen with the attitude of, well, I'm just unfit. I'm just an unfit person.

I'll never be fit. Or I struggle to walk up the stairs. I'm one of those people, I get out of breath when I walk up the stairs. No, if you want to manifest being in the best health, You can't. With those thoughts, you [00:19:00] cannot do it. Do you believe yourself to be broke, struggling, unlucky, life's not fair?

Do you identify as that kind of person? Because if you want to manifest abundance, if you want to manifest more money, if you want to manifest your dream business or incredible promotion, and you identify as someone who is broke, struggling, unlucky, Well, it's not gonna happen. If you start acting like the kind of person that has what you want, you will create that life because it is inevitable.

And because you have the freedom of choice, you can literally wake up every day and choose to think good thoughts. You can choose to assume you're going to have a good fucking day. Today I choose to have a really good day. Today I choose that good news is on its way to me.

Today I assume that something really good is gonna happen. I choose to be a lucky [00:20:00] girl. Lucky girl syndrome. Everything good always happens to me because I am a lucky girl. So, you can consciously condition your mind to work in your favour

because you have the freedom of choice. Or, you can unconsciously condition your mind to keep making your life hard and to keep you stuck. And all of this comes down to your level of awareness.

Because we go about our day in autopilot. Autopilot is a predetermined state based off of everything you have ever felt and thought repeatedly over time. Because this is what is imprinted on your unconscious unless you become more aware and more conscious

of the choices and thoughts you are thinking and feeling.

So you are on autopilot all day long. Really not different to a robot, right? Until you become more aware. Until you go through this whole thing of actually being aware of how you are talking to yourself, how you are talking about where you live, your situation, [00:21:00] your identity, who you are, what type of person you are.

Until you shine a light on that stuff that you are choosing to say and think every day. Until you shine a light on that, you are no different to a robot on autopilot going about the same stuff, same shit, different day.

And until you decide to consciously create and consciously shift, you will just go about the same stuff. And like I said, that is the law of attraction. But you can change the pattern, you can change the script, and this whole thing is like growing a muscle in the gym. If you remain consistent, if you eat the right food to support the muscle growth, if you do the relevant things to support the muscle growth, your muscle will grow, your muscle will get stronger.

Because it has to. Something will just shift and your muscle will grow and this is the same thing. That's why they say your mindset is like a muscle. So when it comes to your [00:22:00] mind and your unconscious mind and bringing more awareness to what you are thinking and feeling on a day to day basis, once you do shift that, And once you have over a short period of time been more consistent with thinking more supportive thoughts, taking actions that support you, feeling feelings and emotions that support you and where you want to go, once you've done that, your unconscious will start expressing a new assumption about yourself.

It will start showing up in your reality, that's essentially what that means. Because your mind is the driver. But you get to control where it's going. And then you will see the physical change in your reality because a new software has been installed into the robot, which is you. you know, you are a soul, you are a light beam.

Your body is just the avatar.

You are already moving, deciding, making choices from this unconscious perspective, so [00:23:00] choose. Decide. Download a new program and allow that one to become your identity instead. Decide on the version of you that you want to be and activate the feelings associated to that version of you.

Stop allowing your old program to run the show. You get to choose and you get to do this in a way that actually benefits you. A game I love to play, and like, this gets to be a game, you know, this gets to be fun. It doesn't get to be all heavy and like bogging you down. This gets to be fun. So what I love to do every day when I get in my car is I pretend I'm driving in my G Wagon.

I feel the steering wheel. I look at all the other cars around me. I drive how I would drive if I was in my G Wagon, I wouldn't be rushing for no one. I would be taking my time in my G Wagon. I would be driving calm. I would be owning it.

 I'd play the songs that I would play in my G Wagon. That enhances the feelings even more because music [00:24:00] is such a great activator for emotions.

And I will drive to the gym acting like I'm driving my G Wagon. And that's like a 20 minute drive, that's 20 minutes of activating feelings. New feelings, which is creating an impression in my mind. And we all know when an impression is created in your mind, it has to be expressed into reality.

And also, when I'm doing this, by the way, I love my car now, and I always still show gratitude for my car now. I always fill my car now with loving energy, I always fill my car now with, , gratitude, but I do also play this game, and it's fun, and this comes from a place of abundance, not lack. It has got to come from a place of love, excitement, energy, gratitude, possibilities, expansive thinking, not victim mentality.

Another thing that I would encourage you to do is walk around neighbourhoods where you want to live. You know, if you're [00:25:00] not living In a neighborhood right now that you enjoy. Well, where do you want to live? Go and walk around. See the houses. Smile. Think how exciting it is that these places exist because if they exist, if they're there in front of you, that means you can have it.

You don't need to worry about the how. Allow the feelings to come up in your body. Allow the excitement to come up in your body when you're walking around your dream neighborhood. And if you see the people that live in the houses where you want to live or in the neighborhood where you want to live, smile!

Be friendly. Show them love. Show them gratitude. Show them gratitude for having access to those amazing houses, that amazing neighborhood. Show them gratitude because you know that if they have it, it means you can have it. Never jealous, never bitter, never driving around these neighbourhoods from a lack mentality saying well it's alright for them.

Or, ugh, what it would be to [00:26:00] have that much money. Never, ever, ever coming from that place. That lack mentality. You do this and you go and you come from abundance. Thank you, thank you, thank you for showing me what is possible.

 So stop waiting for external changes to happen to you, for you to become the version of yourself that you want to become, because nothing changes unless you change.

Everything is you pushed out, life is a mirror. You are manifesting it all, you lead, you go first. Nothing comes before consciousness, therefore you have to change, you are consciousness, you have to change first.

And you do not need to see changes to make this happen. So as with all manifestation, identity is no different. Identity, as you now know, is just a repeating pattern that you can break. It's just an unconscious program, an old unconscious program, that [00:27:00] you are running off. You don't need to run off it anymore. You can wear the identity of the person you want to become /now.

You can feel it now. You can rehearse it like it's a character. You cannot keep waiting for something on the outside to change the way you feel on the inside. You need to change on the inside now and your identity is just another thing on the inside of you that you are repeating like a pattern because you are living it all day long.

Dr. Joe Dispenza says when you rely on something externally to make you happy, that's cause and effect. But when you feel it before it's happened externally, you are causing an effect. You cannot rely on. Things to change externally first.

You have to change, and when you make the decision, you cause the effect to happen.
